Butternut squash as a sauce? I guess this solidifies butter nut squash as a current flavor fad.

As a sauce t brings a bright sweetness to a overall savory flavor profile. I do wonder if the creamy luxurious mouth feel is coming from the squash or some amount of cream or other fat.

The bold taste of this sauce did over power the subtleties of the cheese in the tortellini.

Is pie crust meant to be used this way? Aside from a few applications like pot pie I do not think of pie crust as savory. This is my loss as it makes an amazing pastry cracker substitute. Granted the high levels of fat make it an unhealthy option.

In the sample CDS was placing one of my favorites on the pie crust. A Parmesan spinach dip. This dip is quite dense consisting mostly of Parmesan and not milky cream that lesser dips dill the void with.

Overall I think this unique paring was a success!

Does a fish bleed orange? Probably not, but in this costco sample they manged to make fish oil orange in both taste and color. I have found that orange is used in many cases to disguise the true flavor of an item. This sample tasted like a greasy tang mix, I guess it is healthy so why not give it a try.

Proper cooking can greatly enhance a food. Conversely improper cooking can greatly detract from a food's appeal. This sample at costco falls into the latter category, Spring rolls should be crisp with frying as the usual cooking method. In this case it was microwaved or under baked as it lacked the crispness I would like to see in a spring roll.

This sample at costco raises a interesting debate. Should they demo what something can be, or what something is? This was a sample of frozen berries, but rather than being resented in their sold form they were blended with milk to make a smoothie. I like the serving suggestion but is it right to augment a sample?

I must go on a small rant about this item and sample at costco.

I enjoy nuts, I enjoy rice snacks, I LOVE sesame sticks, mix them together and it is not a good result.

Nuts are soft and fatty, rice snacks are crisp and clean tasting. The oily sesame stick also is a major texture and mouth feel contrast that should be enjoyed alone.

I am glad that costco provides samples of items like this o prevent me from making a 1-2lb mistake.

This is a great dip. I was glad to have this costco sample, its taste is similar to that of the sauce on the mushroom ravioli at macaroni grill. My main fear is that this will be a item just for holiday parties and then it will be gone. I for one am in it for the long haul and cant stand 1night stand snacks.

This costco sample had great eatability, The sweet chocolate the salty pretzel and just enough bitter from the dark caco. This item comes in a holiday style box. Holiday is a great time for costco samples as many are chocolate.

I really wonder how the cheese survives the dehydration process. this was a food that costco needed to have on sample as I am skeptical of any cheese that is not found in a cooler. The pro to this dried format is that one can cook any size portion they wish. The taste was pretty good too.

They call it pirate's booty, how ever I doubt that pirate ever had the means to make this, acquire this or even if they would even eat it if they had the chance. It consists of Collette that are lighter than a puffed Cheetos. This particular flavor was white cheddar. This is a great item for sampling on both sides. I could eat this one handed and the sample person could easily refill the trays. I think this snack is a great addition to any party.

In the container it looks like some one ate it and rejected it, however the saltiness of the katamala olives and the Feta cheese work off one another. Having this as a sample helped me over come my fears about buying a costco sized tub of ugly chutney. This would be a great appetizer to go with wine.

This costco sample takes decadence to a new level, or at least the same level as chocolate covered nuts. Take fatty nut (which is really a fruit seed.) Then use sugar to get coconut to stick to it. The result is a rather tasty snack that one could say is healthy because it is "natural." The four nuts for the sample seemed just right, I wonder how long it takes a person to finish the whole costco bag of them.

I was glad to see a new Amy's item, especially to see it on sample at costco of course. It was decent the sauce was not too over bearing. I think costco is the only place one should buy Amy's food otherwise the pricing is just too high. If I recall correctly it was a 6 pack and the unit price was quite low for this brand. The sample it self was very hot fresh out of the oven. Which also makes me wonder how using the old microwave would change the taste.

Samples at Costco are usually for items in the warehouse. This sample was an exception to that. At the paradise valley AZ costco grand opening, Costco staff, not 3rd party walked around with trays of samples from the food court. Smoothies like this berry one, mochas, and frozen swirl yogurt. The only other food court sample I ever had was a piece of churro when they get reintroduced and replaced the pretzel trio.

I like the way this sample looked, Tasted, and with a name like skinny cow what is there not to love. This is a Costco sample of a low calorie ice cream sandwich that tasted pretty good. Where is the organic milk sample when you need it? Seriously my mouth was glued shut for minutes after this, not that that I didn't need it glued shut after a sample day like today. This was just a weird concoction. Take a wheat tortilla spread on almond butter, and strawberry preserves, roll , cut and you have a sample. I think to much dry in one bite. Plus Phu was making them, a complex sample with slow sample person a bad idea. But a interesting Costco sample

New Item. I saw this sitting on the shelves over the past 2 or 3 weeks. The Kirkland Mac n' cheese was all I had hoped it would be. The pasta had a great aldente texture (thank you sample lady). The Cheese on this costco sample was cream and had a distinct cheddar flavor, not too mild at all. And at about .55 per box it is a bargain. I wonder if this products introduction had something to do with the current economic environment. I have yet to see Kirkland froisgrois in this market.

This is the direction all meatless patties should go. Often people don't eat meat because they don't like it. So why would they want a veggie burger to taste like meat. In this case this Costco sample of a morning star farms veggie Pattie did not. It had a great original veggie taste with no hint of meaty notes. A great sample indeed.

Some people think fruit is a easy quick food to eat, others apparently think fruit needs to be faster. This Costco sample was of grapefruit (ruby red) that has been peeled and cut into supremes. this would work well in a salad or straight or maybe in yogurt. They were not too sweet or tart. I would recommend this Costco sample for a purchase for the truly lazy or the cook of many salads.

This Costco sample was really needed. The Food comes in a very plain container, and it is sold by the kilo, which in America is a confusing unit of measure for most people. The flavor was a bit tart, but with 0 fat and 20g of protein per serving it seems like a good buy.

I like cheese, I like costo samples, however this is one of my personal issues. American singles are not cheese. They are a pasteurized food product, not cheese. The result while highly melt able, is very bland and has the texture of a firm tofu. Please find real american cheese, or try another sliced cheese!

Most often Costco had good deals on high quality products. In this case its a GREAT deal on a great product. At the fudge road show I had a sample of fudge, it was great creamy etc. and at only 10.99 a pound one can gain weight at a faction of the cost of usual fudge vendors.

An amazing day at Costco it was! Road show extravaganza! Despite my limited time I was able to get quite a few samples at the Carlsbad Costco. This one is from the hummus road show, the special note is the fresh pita with it. There was also a fudge, gelato, cheese, blender and more road shows all with samples.
